VISITING MÓN SANT BENET AND KITCHEN WORKSHOP AT THE ALÍCIA FOUNDATION

Mon Sant Benet is a great project where not only stands out the medieval monastery; There is also an important cultural and leisure offer.All this in an exceptional natural environment and together the foundation for food and technological cuisine research ALICIA.

We made a super familiar trip with parents, children, grandparents, uncles and cousins. We did a very didactic guided tour and then all the cousins made a very interesting kitchen workshop in the ALÍCIA foundation.

Benedictine monastery of Sant Benet de Bages, on the municipal boundary of Sant Fruitós de Bages, is one of the best preserved medieval monastic sites in Catalonia. Founded in 960.

A THOUSAND YEARS OF SENSATION (MEDIEVAL VISIT)

Duration: 1h15 minutes

Advance booking is recommended

Languages: Catalan, Spanish, Englis and French.

Guided tour accompanied by audiovisuals that make you travel in time and discover how life was in the monastery. The tour goes through the most emblematic parts of the monastery; The church, the cloister, the cellar and the cells of the Montserrat gallery.

ONE DAY IN THE LIFE OF RAMON CASES

Duration: 45minutes.

Advance booking is recommended

Languages: Catalan, Spanish, Englis and French.

In 1907, the family of the artist Ramón Casas acquired the monastery and restore it into a summer residence. This visit takes you to the summer of 1924 through this residence. It is very well set and accompanied by audios and audiovisuals that make you travel in time.

ALÍCIA FOUNDATION

Alícia is a private non-profit foundation, located  a few meters from the monastery and created in 2003 with the strategic leadership of the chef Ferran Adrià andthe cardiologist Valentí Fuster.

It is a research center devoted to the technological innovation in cuisine, the improvement of eating habits and of the food and gastronomic heritage.

KITCHEN WORKSHOP

They make several kitchen workshops, for children and adults.

We made the following one:

“COOK, EAT, LIVE” VISIT THE ALÍCIA FOUNDATION

Duration: 1 hour

It was a kitchen workshop very didactic for children, in which they explained the eating habits while cooking in small groups a complete menu.

The youngest of the family could be accompanied by an adult.
